US PS Store Update, December 10 - Doki-Doki Universe, Sorcery Saga, Borderlands 2 for PS Plus

This week's North American PlayStation Store update delivers an intriguing new indie, a heck of a good PlayStation Plus Instant Collection addition, and a game all about curry. Pretty good haul.

The highlight of this week's update is Doki-Doki Universe which, I gotta tell you guys, I'm really wanting in my life immediately. From the mind behind Toejam & Earl, this strange little free app presents you with an explorable universe, casts you as a robot looking for validation, grants you a bunch of social tools and then politely requests you pay for some of its game content. It's available on PS4, PS3 and Vita, with cross-buy.

If you're keen, you may want to check out the Limited Edition Bundle, which includes the full game, a starter pack, two personality quiz packs, two story packs, nine Deko Mail packs, and a dynamic theme. All content except the theme is shared across all platforms.

There are other thrifty bundles, too - grab the The Ultimate Runner game Bundle or Breakquest: Extra Evolution – 500 Balls Bundle.

There are a couple of other new games hitting today. On PS3, check out Strength of the Sword 3. On Vita, try Mahjong Royal Towers and Sorcery Saga: The Curse of the Great Curry God.

There's also one new app, although why you'd want to look at IGN when you have us I cannot imagine.

Elsewhere, PlayStation Plus members score a free copy of Borderlands 2 on PS3, as well as significant discounts on the PSN's ongoing holiday sale.

Those who don't feel like paying out this week can try a pair of demos - Puppeteer and Doki-Doki Universe.

Now to DLC: there's new material for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins, Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate Core Fighters, Disgaea D2: A brighter Darkness, Doki-Doki Universe, Need for Speed: Rivals, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, Rocksmith 2014, Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers, Saints Row 4 and Sorcery Saga: The Curse of the Great Curry God.
