US PS Store Update, April 22 - Octodad, Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, Walking Dead Vita
This week's North American PlayStation Store update presents a varied range of indies and downloadables to clear your palate before the inevitable resurgence of triple-A titles in a few weeks.
The highlight this week for me personally is Octodad: Dadliest Catch, a game in which you play an octopus pretending to be human. Nobody suspects a thing. There's a demo for this on PS4 retail displays and I always set it going when I'm at the shops, for which service Sony should probably send me a cheque.
Two other PS4 games are in, though - Putty Squad and Cel Damage HD. This last one is also out on PS3 and Vita today, and has three-way cross-buy which is quite unusual.
On PS3, check out Defense Technica and Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, a free-to-play spin-off of the fighter series.
On Vita, the first episode of The Walking Dead: Season Two is here, along with dungeon crawler Demon Gaze, Starlight Inception and Putty Squad.
For those on a budget this month, check out demos for Defense Technica (PS3) and The Walking Dead (Vita).
PlayStation Plus subscribers receive a free copy of PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate HD for Vita.
Now to the magical realm of DLC, where you'll find content for Batman: Arkham Origins, Conception 2: Children of the Seven Stars, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, Demon Gaze, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, Just Dance 2014, Live Event, Pinball Arcade, Ragnarok odyssey Ace, Rocksmith 2014, Soul Sacrifice, The Walking Dead: Season Two and Toukiden: The Age of Demons.
