US 7-Eleven stores to start selling used games in September
7-Eleven has announced that it's to start selling used games at over 3,000 of its US stores for $19.99 and below.
Now you can get a game to go with your pork rinds, Mt. Dew, Slurpee, MoonPie, and pack of condoms.
You may wanna grab a pack of antacids while you're at it.
The move is part of a partnership with Game Trading Technologies, which also has dealings with Best Buy, Blockbuster, GameStop, Gamefly, Walmart, and others, per Gamasutra.
"What this means to consumers is that they will have many convenient locations, most open 24/7, to buy value-priced video games," said GTT president and CEO Todd Hays.
"The program is available to all 7-Eleven US franchisees, and we hope to have most US stores on board by September."
7-Eleven stores will only be selling the titles, not buying them off you or anything else GameStop would do.
Cash and carry only it seems.
The chain started selling new games a while back, and has always been one to promote games with Slurpee and other novelties.
7-Elevens in Japan out unannounced games all the time as well.
Thanks, Dutch.
