Until Dawn Morpheus rumour prompts Yoshida to comment on "really good fit"

Until Dawn has jumped ship from PlayStation 3 and Move to a new home on Sony's Project Morpheus, according to the rumour mill, with Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida admitting it sounds like a pretty great idea.

Polygon cites anonymous sources for word that Supermassive Games' teen horror adventure has made the jump to the PS4 and virtual reality headset.

Asked about the rumour, Yoshida reportedly neither confirmed nor denied.

"That would be very interesting, because it's a horror game, and the people are tweeting to me, ‘I want to play Outlast in Morpheus,'" he said.

"I think in terms of genre that's a really good fit. If you really want to make serious games for Morpheus, the game design would be really, really different."

The SCE Worldwide Studios boss also confirmed the project is still in development, but would not make a comment about what platform it is coming to.

Announced in 2012 for a 2013 release for PlayStation Move on PS3, Until Dawn has been radio silent in the interim. Our last update, in November last year, simply confirmed that development was ongoing.
