Until Dawn has been "refocused, rewritten, rebuilt" for PS4 and DualShock 4

Until Dawn is now a DualShock 4 title and has been reworked by Supermassive Games and stars the voice talents of Hayden Panettiere and others.

In Until Dawn you play the parts of all eight friends as they gather at a remote mountain getaway for a night of unexpected terror.

Horror authors Larry Fessenden and Graham Reznick (Stake Land, Habit, The Last Winter) worked with the team on the story, which challenges the player with unraveling the mystery of Blackwood Pines.

Hayden Panettiere (Heroes, Malcontent in the Middle), Rami Malek (Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2, Need for Speed) and Brett Dalton (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) will provide their voices in the game.

Until Dawn was announced for PS Move on PlayStation 3 at gamescom two year ago, and due to fan feedback wanting Dualshock controls, Supermassive relented and also decided to go current-gen with it as well.

"We re-designed, re-built and re-wrote the game so now you have a more mature, darker and fundamentally more terrifying experience on PS4," said the firm's Pete Samuels. "One of the first changes you’ll notice, apart from how much more beautiful it now looks and sounds, is that we’ve moved from first person to third person perspective.

"This allows a much more cinematic experience for you, so you feel completely immersed in this beautiful but spine-chilling world."

And updated version of the Killzone Shadow Fall engine was used to bring life to the facial animations, lighting and audio techniques.

More about the game over will be shared soon.
