Unravel 2 is available to download and play right now in surprise E3 announcement

Unravel 2 is coming to PC and console and it looks like it might feature co-op this time around.

Update: Unravel 2 is out now. The title is indeed co-op, but can be played in single-player - although the game will always feature two Yarnys that you can switch between in single-player, or take control of one each in co-op.

The trailer from EA's E3 press conference is below.

In a surprise reveal, it was announced that the game is complete and available for purchase right now.

Unravel 2 Online Co-op:

Be aware, Unravel 2 does not have online co-op, only local. So you'll need to be in the same room for your Yarny adventures.

Original Story: Unravel 2 has leaked ahead of E3 thanks to its ESRB ratings page, and the rating summary hints that co-op will be a feature of the new title.

Spotted on ResetEra, the ESRB rating page describes "a pair" of Yarnys that will be facing further horrific trials.

"This is a side-scrolling platformer in which players control a pair of fantastical creatures called Yarnys as they navigate environments. Players traverse platforms and avoid hazards by swinging from yarn lassos; some areas contain animals that chase/menace the player's characters.

"The Yarnys are defeated when they are eaten by a fish, grabbed by birds, crushed by boulders, or run over by cars."

The rating page also reveals a lack of a Switch release for the game, as it's only been rated for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The news comes ahead of EA's E3 2018 press conference, scheduled for later today. The publisher is kicking off the E3 festivities, followed by Bethesda tomorrow.
