Undertale's latest update has secret content

The recent Undertale patch brings more than bug fixes, according to some talented sleuths.

Undertale received a new patch on Steam earlier this week. According to the developer, the patch just brings bug fixes and "increases compatibility."

However, some Reddit users have dug into it to find more than meets the eye.

Spoilers for the game's story to follow.

The update apparently brings new dialogue and changed audio files. It also makes it appear like Gaster, a character that's been referred to in the game before and was previously accessible with some tinkering, is now in the game proper.

Neutral, pacifist, genocide runs have also been changed, with mostly references to Gaster in the form of gray NPCs appearing during regular play.
