Uncharted actor Tom Holland to make appearance at The Game Awards
Maybe we'll see some more of the upcoming film.
Uncharted actor Tom Holland is set to present an award next week at the Game Awards.
That's according to the show's organiser Geoff Keighley, who revealed on Twitter that Holland will be a presenter at the show on December 10. The actor is playing a young Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie. It's not clear which category he will be handing out the prize for at The Game Awards.
Speculation is rife that this pairing may be leading somewhere too. As The Game Awards is known for its world premiere trailers, many are postulating that we may finally get our first glimpse of the Uncharted film. It's not hard to imagine either, especially with Holland in attendance.
Further adding to the theory, the film is out in July 2021, so getting a trailer now feels like the correct time-frame. We've already had a bit of a look at the Uncharted film thanks to Instagram posts from Holland and Nathan Drake voice actor Nolan North stopping by the set, but it would be neat to see some more of the upcoming production.
What this year's Game Awards are going to look like is still a little bit unclear. Normally there's an audience of 5,000 people in the room and millions watching from around the world. With the coronavirus pandemic, the show is being split across Los Angeles, London and Tokyo, but how it comes together isn't yet clear.
The Game Awards will land on December 10 in a digital livestream and will see Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Ghost of Tsushima, Hades, and The Last of Us: Part 2 battling it out for the Bast Game of 2020.
Holland isn't the only big name slated to appear on the night. Keighley has also revealed that Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is going to be performing at the awards show.
