An Uncharted easter egg was hidden in a The Last of Us multiplayer map
This isn't the first time Naughty Dog has thrown a reference in its game.
Since its 2013 release, there's been an Uncharted easter egg in one of The Last of Us' multiplayer maps.
Former Naughty Dog game designer Rodney Reece took to Twitter to highlight that the remains of a plane in The Last of Us' Beach map in the game's Faction mode is in fact Victor "Sully" Sullivan's plane, Hog Wild, from the first Uncharted title.
"Not saying that's canon," Reece wrote. "But I took it from [Uncharted], broke it into pieces and put it there."
This isn't the first time that Naughty Dog has put references to its other games in one of its releases. Of course, in Uncharted 4, protagonist Nathan Drake and partner Elena play the studio's 1996 platformer Crash Bandicoot, and the developer accidentally left in a teaser for The Last of Us in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
In The Last of Us Part 2, players can find a PlayStation 3 and Uncharted 2 as well as a PlayStation Vita featuring Devolver and Dennaton's Hotline Miami. You can also play a load of songs on the title's in-game guitar, some of which you can check out above.
The Last of Us Part 2 was released in June of this year. It quickly became Sony's fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive, a title previously held by Naughty Dog's own Uncharted 4.
