There's plenty of Uncharted 4 news coming out of Paris Games Week. All of it pertains to the game's multiplayer mode, which is being shown in Paris.

For instance, the game runs at 60 frames-per-second and 900p resolution, but will not support dedicated servers.

Now, it's been revealed that it will include microtransactions from the beginning. Lead multiplayer designer Robert Cogburn confirmed this to Gamespot when asked if the in-game currency will be purchasable using real money.

"Microtransactions will be available at launch, but we'll have no gameplay items that will be gated through microtransactions," he told the site, explaining that weapons, items, and upgrades will be purchasable using in-game currency.

The right balance, Cogburn added, is something the developer is looking to learn from the upcoming beta, due in December.

At Paris Games Week, it was also revealed the multiplayer team is aiming to launch eight maps, and may even add vehicles.
