Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past game revealed for Android & iOS

Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past is a new comic tie-in from Glitchsoft, heading to Android and iOS devices in May. It's being developed by the same team behind the nostalgia-baiting He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe.

Marvel made the announcement over the weekend, and confirmed that the game adapts its 1981 comic arc, "Days of Future Past," which is also getting the movie treatment this year.

It's a story-driven, 2D scrolling game with a focus on fast-paced combat. Kind of sounds like the X-Men arcade game. Insta-buy if the line 'Welcome to die' is in there.

"Glitchsoft came to us with a pedigree of rock-solid game development, strong production values, and a passion for the Uncanny X-Men franchise that was impossible to ignore," said TQ Jefferson, VP of Games Production at Marvel. "It's these sorts of qualities that we look for in a partner, and we couldn't be more excited to bring our version of 'Days of Future Past' to mobile."

It's coming to iPhone 4 and above, iPad 2 and above and iPod touch 5th Gen, as well as Samsung, HTC, LG, and other Android hardware in May.

Any takers?
