Two years later, Tribes: Ascend is finally getting a patch
A new Tribes: Ascend update is on its way to the public test server. Am I dreaming?
Tribes: Ascend developer Hi-Rez took a six month break from the free-to-play shooter back in mid 2013, and has been silent on the project ever since.
And now, all of a sudden, an update is coming. Appropriately titled Out of the Blue, patch 1.1 is expected to roll out to the PTS on September 14. The update will make some dramatic balance changes, which have sparkled the inevitable community debate, while some long-requested fixes have been welcomed with universal acclaim.
Writing on Reddit, Hi Rez said initial patch notes represent a small fraction of what it intends for the full patch, which has not been dated.
In addition to Smite, Hi-Rez is working on a new free-to-play title called Paladins.
