Two-Thirds of Assassin's Creed Odyssey Players Chose the Wrong Protagonist
Yeah I said it.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey gave players a choice to play one of two siblings, Alexios or Kassandra. According to Ubisoft Quebec Game Director Scott Phillips two-thirds of gamers chose wrong. Okay, he didn't say that, Phillips did reveal that a majority of Odyssey players chose Alexios as their primary protagonist.
In the most recent issue of Game Informer Phillips expressed surprise that more players chose Alexios than Kassandra given that during playtesting the choices were more evenly split. "The interesting thing is that, during playtests, it was pretty much 50/50," says Phillips. And in fact, developers expected Kassandra to be chosen more after initial testing. "The idea of choice being key to our game shows really well in that even we are surprised some of the choices [players] ended up making."
At the beginning of the game players could choose either Alexios or Kassandra as the protagonist in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. The other sibling wouldn't be relegated to non-existence however and instead became a key secondary character.
I played as Kassandra during my playthrough and to be honest I prefer the line delivery of actor Melissanthi Mahut as Kassandra. Her nomination for Best Performance at The Game Awards seemed to indicate that others also acknowledged her fantastic portrayal as a mercenary assassin in ancient Greece.
Still, the beauty of Assassin's Creed dual protagonist option is that you can go back a second time and play the game over again with the other protagonist. The correct choice if you will.
