Twitch, Amazon & Crytek among first announced Develop 2014 speakers

The Develop conference will return to Brighton's Hilton Metropole through July 8-10, and an initial list of speakers has been revealed, including representatives from Twitch, Amazon and Crytek.

In a press release sent to VG247 today, Develop's organisers Tandem Events confirmed that the conference will feature over 100 speakers across more than 90 sessions, including such companies as Amazon, Aardman Studios, Twitch, Nickelodeon, Crytek, Chillingo, Codemasters, Ubisoft Montreal and Media Molecule.

In particular, Stuart Saw from Twitch will present a session that focuses on the rise of live-streaming, and to touch upon how game developers can boost their product's steaming potential. Boss Alien’s Jason Avent will touch on how gameplay can be used as a marketing tool, and Nickelodeon's John Conlon will discuss the use of second screen technology, and how it can be used by both broadcasters and app developers.

"Games development is going through an exciting era of innovation and creativity," said Andy Lane, managing director of Develop in Brighton organiser Tandem Events. "From producing exciting and compelling content for new technology such as VR or next gen consoles to the increasing importance the role of the indie developer plays on the industry, there’s a lot to get excited about in 2014.

"As always, Develop in Brighton will provide top class content designed to help developers from all spectrums of the industry. And being in Brighton also makes it a fantastic place for networking and sharing experiences with fellow developers which is always invaluable."
