Trine 2 supports PC and Mac cross platform multiplayer
Frozenbyte crosses the great platform divide with its puzzle platformer sequel, Trine 2.
Shack News reports the game makes it easier to find co-op buddies by allowing Mac and PC gamers to play together, just as if they didn't have some eternal enmity based on commercial-driven cultural manipulation. Next it'll be dogs and cats, etc.
Pre-orders through Steam grant access to the game's beta, and a newly released Mac client means you can try the cross platform play out right away.
If you grab the Collector's Edition, you'll also score the original game, which was released on PC, Mac and the PlayStation Network.
Trine 2 is due in December, and while still restricted to three players, you can be whichever one you choose. Check out some recent screens here.
