Trials HD riddle solution revealed
A famous series of clues within RedLynx's 2009 release Trials HD have been revealed to point squarely at - well, not a great deal.
In a drawn out video produced by a proactive fan called FatShady in consultation with RedLynx creative director Antti Ilvessuo, players are shown the mysterious and puzzling mathematical symbols and signs, references to Leonardo da Vinci and Darwin, and other signifiers.
The puzzle's "solution" is that all of the clues refer to mysteries, human ingenuity and creativity, or curiosity.
Kotaku made the puzzle famous in mid-2011 by publishing FatShady's compilation of clues, including an interview with RedLynx in which the studio maintained the puzzle had not been solved.
Trials Evolution, the sequel to Trails HD, will release on Xbox Live Arcade next week.
