Transformers: Fall of Cybertron features star vocal talent
Long-serving Optimus Prime voice actor Peter Cullen and the ubiquitous Mr Nolan North head-up the list of vocal talent for High Moon Studios' upcoming action sequel.
Veteran voice actor Peter Cullen - no relation to VG247's, Johnny Cullen - will reprise his role as Optimus Prime in the upcoming third-person action sequel, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
Cullen first lent his voice to the Autobot leader back in the 80's TV show, and again in 2007 for Michael Bay film adaptation. In 2011 he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for his portrayal of the giant red and blue metal man, losing out to the crafty Penguins of Madagascar.
Cullen's other roles in classic kids cartoons have included the thuggish Cidarr in Visionaries: Kinghts of the Magical Light, the fearsome Venger in Dungeons & Dragons and loveable ass, Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh.
Nolan North will play several roles in the game, that of Bruticus, Cliffjumper and Brawl; presumably because he can.
The confirmed voice cast so far is as follows:
- Peter Cullen - Optimus Prime
- Greg Berger - Grimlock
- Nolan North - Bruticus, Cliffjumper and Brawl
- Troy Baker - Jazz, Jetfire, and Kickback
- Fred Tatasciore - Megatron, Ratchet, and Metroplex
- Steve Blum - Shockwave, Swindle, and Sharpshot
- Isaac Singleton - Soundwave
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron launches on PC, 360 and PS3 on August 28 in the US and August 31 in Europe.
