Total War Battles: Shogun "has to be a very accessible game"
A new developer diary for the mobile-bound Total War Battles: Shogun shows how carefully The Creative Assembly is handling its first handheld foray.
Senior designer Renaud Charpenter describes the game as an injection of Total War's DNA into the mobile space.
"This has to be a very accessible game. You have to be able to pick it up, learn it very straightforwardly," he said.
Later in the diary the team discusses their effort to make units and buildings visually distinct on the smaller screen, as well as how they introduce concepts slowly.
Thanks, CVG.
