Torchlight 2's belated console release has its first trailer and a September release date
Torchlight 2 is coming to consoles in a real case of 'better late than never'.
Torchlight 2, the well-liked Diablo-style action-RPG that released on PC all the way back to 2012, is finally coming to consoles. What took it so long? No idea. But we've got a trailer below, and a release date - September 3. It doesn't look like it's going to try and reinvent the wheel - it seems like a fairly straightforward console port of a beloved game.
As it turns out this was already announced back in March, but without a trailer the news went somewhat under the radar.
As of 2013, the game had sold over two million copies on PC. The more I look into this, the weirder it seems that this console port did not happen sooner.
Meanwhile, there's no news to report on Torchlight Frontiers, but here's a nice little reminder that it also exists.
The game is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. It'll have online multiplayer, naturally, which the trailer shows off.
