These top Switch games are down to $40 for Mario Day
In a clever piece of date punnery, Nintendo has declared 10th March as Mario Day. It’s ‘MAR 10’ – geddit? It’s a stretch, sure, but we’ll take it if that means discounts on some top Switch games, accessories and more related Mario merch.
Leading the way this Mario Day is a handful of Switch games starring one of the top eight soft boys in gaming that are now down to $39.99. The four games on sale are Super Mario Maker 2, Super Mario Party, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Yoshi's Crafted World. Super Mario Odyssey is mysteriously absent! Still, these offers are available at all the major retailers, so it’s up to you where to shop.
- Mario Day sale at Amazon US
- Mario Day sale at Best Buy
- Mario Day sale at Target
- Mario Day sale at Walmart
- Mario Day sale at the Nintendo eShop
On top of this, although not a price cut, Target is running a promotion that will give you a free pair of Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Steering Wheels when you buy Mario Kart 8.
Elsewhere, the Mario Day celebrations have also been extended to a range of accessories and merch. The goods vary depending on the retailer, but it’s Best Buy where you’ll find the most comprehensive offering. There are Switch controllers, cases and a whole wardrobe full of clothing at up to half price. Check out the full range or some of our top picks below:
- Nintendo Switch Console (Neon Blue & Red) with PowerA Mario Controller for $298.99
- PDP Wired Fight Pad Pro Controller Mario Edition for $19.99
- PowerA - Super Mario Edition Controller for $19.99
- RDS Industries Super Mario Odyssey Traveler Deluxe Travel Case for Nintendo Switch for $14.99
- Super Mario Bros. Casual Crew Socks for $4.99
- Super Mario Odyssey 17-Oz. Travel Bottle for $8.49
- Super Mario Bros. Snap Back Hat for $14.39
- Super Mario Bros. Lapel Pin (4 Pack) for $7.99
Those are just some of the Mario Day offers I’ve managed to track down so far. All will be available until 14th March. Perhaps there will be more tomorrow when the party begins proper. You have to assume that Nintendo will likely do something more through their store, too. I’ll be sure to update the page should anything else go live.
