Tony Hawk: New game in the works, maybe for 2012

Tony Hawk has said a new game in his long-running skate series is in the works.
"We're going to do something probably for next year but I can't give too much away," the pro-skater told Pixelated Geek.
The franchise's future was placed in doubt after the last game, Tony Hawk: Shred, generated paltry sales. Activision subsequently put the franchise on hold for 2011.
The Tony Hawk franchise arrived in 1999 in the midst of an extreme sports craze, and spawned 16 games before fizzling out with the arrival of the pricey Ride peripheral.
