Tomba 2 headed to North American PSN this week
Tomba 2, one of the most-requested PSOnce Classics, will finally hit the PlayStation Network in this week's update.
Japanese import specialist MonkeyPaw confirmed a February 18 release date on the PlayStation Blog.
The digital release will be playable on PS3, PSP and Vita, and is the Japanese import version. It has not been localised, so you may want to consult the full walkthough on MonkeyPaw's site when it goes live.
MonkeyPaw said that it had to "oversome some technical hurdles" before it could bring the sequel to market.
A European release has not been announced.
Tomba 2 is known by various titles; in North America, it was Tomba 2: The Evil Swine Return, while Europe embraced the much shorter Tombi 2 and the Japanese title eschewed a number altogether to go for Tomba: The Wild Adventures.
The short series hailed from Whoopee Camp and was published by Sony outside Japan. It stars a pink haired boy raised in a jungle, and had some mysterious charm that elevated it to nostalgia-worthiness above its side-scrolling peers.
