Tomb Raider movie reboot lands director, negotiates with writer
The Tomb Raider movie reboot has hired a new director and possibly a new writer.
Previous plans to hire Divergent, Snow White And The Huntsman writer Evan Daugherty to pen the Tomb Raider movie reboot seems to have bee scrapped, as have the hunt for a female director.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Roar Uthaug, director of Norwegian disaster movie The Wave, is attached to direct.
Transformers 5 co-writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet is also said to be in negotiations to pen the script, taking over from Daugherty.
While this is progress, it will probably be a while before we learn the lead actress' name, and a while yet for the studios to reveal any details. To that end, the site reports the film will follow Lara Croft's "first adventure."
