Tomb Raider comic to release alongside game

Dark Hose and Square Enix have teamed up to deliver a prequel comic for Crystal Dynamics' new Tomb Raider game. Called Tomb Raider: The Beginning, the comic was penned by the game's writer, Rhianna Pratchett, and Destructoid reports pre-orders at US Best Buy stores will score a hardcover version for free. This isn't Lara's first go-round with comics; Top Cow produced a Tomb Raider comic series which began in the late 1990's and ran for 50 issues, as well as spawning crossovers with Witchblade and Fathom.
Tomb Raider is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early March.
