Tokyo Jungle screens get lovey dovey

That headline would have been a perfect ace if one of the animals featured in this batch of Tokyo Jungle screenshots was an actual dove.

Tokyo Jungle has players take on the role of one of a variety of animals, and set out to survive the post-apocalyptic streets. As well as requiring you to source enough food and face down predators and rivals, the game asks you to pass your genes onto the next generation to truly succeed. Also, you can dress your animals up in little stat-bossting, outfits and give them presents.

This is exactly the kind of beautiful madness I enjoy posting about while Pat is asleep and can't yell at me.

See it in action here. You can pre-order the PlayStation 3 exclusive through the Japanese PSN ahead of its June 7 release, but no western launch has been announced.
