The update has been applied to Attrition and Hardpoint modes for now, and follows confirmation that Titanfall matchmaking would shift from prioritising connection speed to skill instead.

On the update, Respawn said, "This will give us more time to build better teams and create closer games that are worth staying in for a longer period of time," and confirmed that teams would be split up to even out skill levels if one team utterly dominated the previous match.

Respawn added, "This means if one team is dominating, we will update the skill for all of the players and then find each team a better suited match for the next round. This should end some of the frustration with playing for extended periods when you're having an off night."

Stay tuned for more on Titanfall next week, with the impending launch of the Xbox 360 version.
