Three new Avalanche titles to be announced by mid-year

Renegade Ops and Just Cause developer Avalanche has said it will announce three new titles during the first half of 2012.

All three titles are set for for release during 2013 and 2014.

No further hints were given beyond describing the reveals as "major" and a reference to "publishing partners".

Avalanche made the tease in conjunction with the unveiling of a new website and a declaration that it would be on-site at GDC this year.

The Swedish developer opened a second, New York-based studio last year, announcing that the new team would work on a project due in 2014 - presumably one of the three to be revealed over the next few months.

Avalanche has a reputation for delivering over-the-top explosive action games, as with downloadable title Renegade Ops and Just Cause. Publisher Square Enix has not ruled out the possibility of a new entry in the open-world action series.
