THQ uDraw failure investigated by litigators

A US law firm is to investigate whether the publisher withheld crucial information concerning the ailing peripheral from investors.

Holzer Holzer & Fister, a US firm that describes itself as a "complex litigation boutique that represents investors victimized by securities fraud and other corporate corruption", is to investigate whether THQ failed to disclose information to investors regarding demand for its uDraw peripheral, Gamasutra is reporting.

The investigation relates to the information available from THQ concerning the decreased level of demand for uDraw on PS3 and 360. The law firm says that investors were hit hard when THQ decided to discontinue the peripheral earlier this year and is questioning whether THQ released all of the information that it was obligated to.

New THQ head, Jason Rubin, recently said that he hopes remaining stock of the beleaguered accessory will be shipped to retailers later this year and that the publisher "won’t be burying these in the desert."
