Thomas Was Alone "Deluxe" action figure set now available
Thomas Was Alone is three years old, and creator Mike Bithell has authorised a set of action figures to celebrate.
"Hang on," you're saying, "Aren't the characters of Thomas Was Alone just ... shapes?"
Yes. Yes, they are. In a mail out sent to press, Bithell sounded almost apologetic at meeting fan demand with this merchandise.
"This is a bit silly, but people seem to be digging them," he wrote. "Very much in the 'cool silly thing for the fans' category for us, and weirdly something we got asked for a lot."
The very limited run can be yours for £20 through custom toy maker Kerry Dyer. It's worth going to take a look just for the product description. Here's a preview:
"These figures offer the full articulation possible for toys based on the reasonably popular indie game, Thomas Was Alone. The Claire figure even floats. Seriously. That's not a joke. That took time to make work."
Thomas Was Alone is available on Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Vita, Wii U and Xbox One. Bithell's sophomore release, stealth-action Robin Hood retelling Volume, launches August 18 for Mac, PC, PS4 and Vita.
