This Mass Effect: Andromeda tech video shows how lovely the game looks displayed in 4K with HDR enabled

Last week, Nvidia released a set of Mass Effect: Andromeda screenshots in 4K, and today, you can have a look at a tech video of the game shot in 4K HDR.

Obviously, the video will look much better if you're watching it on a HDR enabled display. That said, it's still worth a watch because the team at Bioware Edmonton discuss how 4K makes the finer details of Mass Effect: Andromeda stand out.

The team also discusses how HDR affects gameplay by increasing the readability of the scenes. This allows the player to continue seeing details of the environment even when there's quite a bit of lens flare or explosions going on around them.

Along with HDR, Mass Effect: Andromeda features Nvidia Ansel technologies which the team hopes players will use to take "amazing shots" in 4K.

Again, the gameplay seen in the video was shot in 4K with HDR enabled throughout, but it still looks nice - even if you're viewing the video in 480p (don't judge me). Be sure to choose the 2160p option in the video's settings to get the full effect.

Bioware previously released the minimum and recommended PC specs, and you can look over those through the link.

If you missed the 4K shots from last week, here they are.

Mass Effect: Andromeda releases next week on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

It arrives in North America March 21 and on March 23 in Europe.
