This is happening: A live-action Pac-Man reality show
Today's episode of VG247 is brought to you by the letters "W," "T," and "F."
Deadline brings word that Namco Bandai and Merv Griffin Entertainment are going forward with a Pac-Man reality TV show. At this point, there are three proper responses: 1) "Whuh"? 2) "Hwah"? 3) "What those other guys said." So here's Merv Griffin's president of TV Roy Bank to explain it for you.
"The idea we have is to take what Pac-Man is and bring it to life, to bring what is essentially the world's biggest game of tag to television," he said.
He also described the show as a "big, crazy Wipeout-type event with a lot of energy."
It sounds utterly silly and - if it ever makes it to televison - will probably only manage to break the world record for quickest cancellation, but we'll watch it.
