These Battleborn videos introduce Alani and show her in action
With Battleborn's first post-release character available for Season Pass holders today, it's only fitting Gearbox would release a video giving you a look at the warrior-monk healer Alani.

Alani is also free for those who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition or participated in the open beta on PlayStation 4. The character can be unlocked using the nifty Hero Key which should show up in the Command Center under her entry.
She will be released to all Battleborn players on all platforms May 31 and can be unlocked for 47,500 earned in-game credits.
As you can see in the intro video above and the official Let's Play video of her below, Alani has the ability to wield water a weapon. But she can also heal her teammates. Below is a list of her abilities and a description from Gearbox.
- Torrent: Through years of training in Ket, her order’s martial art, Alani has honed her ability to control water, hurling water bolts to damage enemies.
- Wellspring: Channeling her focus and strength, Alani heals herself for a small amount or envelopes an ally in water to heal them.
- Riptide: Alani sends forth a wave of water that deals damage to enemies, pushes them away, and leaves a trail hastening allies’ movement speed.
- Geyser: Calling upon the power of the oceans, a groundswell erupts, knocking enemies into the air, damaging and binding them.
- Emergence: Alani summons a water dragon that deals damage to everything caught in its wake.
- Osmosis (Passive): Alani’s healing abilities swell and recede like the tide. Successfully landing hits with Torrent grants up to three stacks to temporarily increase the healing power of Wellspring.
One of five planned DLC heroes, Alani arrived alongside a patch to the game this morning. New skins, taunts and some balance changes were applied to Ambra and Gaililea with the update.
Other changes were made to maps, and matchmaking improvements were applied along with the normal bug fixes and quality of life tweaks.
Also, the PC version of Battleborn is currently $20 off through the 2K Online Store. This discount applies to both the standard and Digital Deluxe versions, which is a good deal on the latter as it comes with the Season Pass.
