"There will be more Mass Effect" after the trilogy ends, says BioWare
BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk has said there will be more Mass Effect in the future, despite the current trilogy ending with the next game.
Speaking with Kotaku, the exec didn't mention where the series could go next.
"Believe me, we have our work cut out for us for the next little while getting Mass Effect 3 done after this," he said.
"Don't worry: if you love Mass Effect, there will be more Mass Effect in the future."
Zeschuck also said that Mass Effect 3 is in the planning stages, but only confirmed the save system which allows you to import your character from Mass Effect 1 to Mass Effect 2 will be included.
"I think we can actually extend that quite effectively to [Mass Effect 3], the key thing being that that save game concept will work in three as well, where we can take the save games from one to two, two to three."
Yesterday, project director for the Mass Effect series Casey Hudson revealed the Mass Effect trilogy will end in this cycle of consoles for 360 and PC.
Mass Effect 2 releases on Tuesday in the US, and next Friday in the UK for 360 and PC.
