The Witcher 3 is now available - go go go
The Witcher 3 is now available via digital distribution services.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt unlocked on Steam a little earlier than anticipated - just over an hour ago, according to dozens of excited Americans in my Twitter stream.
Officially, The Witcher 3 was expected to unlock at 01:00 CET, but it looks like it might have gone live an hour before that - when midnight hit Poland, CD Projekt RED's home territory. Intriguing.
In any case, that time has officially come and gone, so go forth and enjoy Geralt's adventures via Steam, GOG and any third-party PC retailers which utilise keys from either service. PSN and Xbox Live copies are also supposed to have unlocked now.
Those waiting for physical copies will have to wait for tomorrow unless their local retailer has been kind enough to offer midnight pick-ups, alas.
Update: The Xbox One version was delayed, but should open just about 0200 CET - right as I'm pressing the publish button on this update.
