The Witcher 3: The Dwarven Document Dilemma walkthrough

During The Dwarven Document Dilemma quest in The Witcher 3, Geralt is once again tasked with helping someone out. This time around, Muggs the dwarf claims his documents have gone missing - stolen by an unscrupulous thief - or were they? Either way, you're being paid to retrieve them, so you might as well get going.

The Witcher 3: The Dwarven Document Dilemma walkthrough

The Dwarven Document Dilemma quest can be found on the road between the Tretegor Gate and Seven Cats Inn in The Witcher 3. Exit Novigrad via the Tretegor Gate and trot along the road towards the big stone bridge. After a while, you'll see the quest marker appear. Strut on over to it.

Agree to help Muggs the dwarf recover some documents that have supposedly been stolen, and head to the search area on the bridge. Use your Witcher Senses to find the bottle Muggs broke over the thief's head. This leads to a trail you can follow to the Seven Cats Inn.

Here, you'll confront a fellow named Gerd. Talk to him for a while and he'll offer a new take on the story: Muggs lost his documents. No matter - you were paid to recover them, and that's what you'll do. You can either demand the papers and fistfight Gerd, use Axii level one on him, or beat him at Gwent to recover the papers.

Return to Muggs, giving him an earful for his lies, and hand over the papers to complete the quest. That's it!
