The Witcher 3 Super Turbo Lighting mod brings much sharper lighting to an already stunning game
The Witcher 3's lighting model gets an upgrade, thanks to this mod.
The Witcher 3 looks pretty good, especially if you're running it on a powerful PC with as many settings maxed out as you can. But that doesn't mean the game's look can't be improved even further.
Today's mod, correctly named Super Turbo Lighting mod, aims to do just that. The mod has actually been available since September, 2015, but received an update this week (via PCGamesN).
As you can see in the most recent video, the mod changes the lighting for every one of the big zones. It also reduces fog and improves the ambient occlusion filter, enhancing the atmosphere.
The mod's benefits extend to other features like increasing draw distance, and streamlining lighting between indoor and outdoor scenes. It really does look amazing, especially at nighttime. It may be harder to notice in screenshots, but if you've been playing the game recently, you'll instantly recognise how certain scenes look different.
You can download the mod through the official Nexus page, where you'll also find installation instructions.
If atmospheric lighting, over practical one, is your thing, this mod should satisfy that need.
