If you used the cow-killing exploit in The Witcher 3 a taxman is coming for you
A new fella has popped up in The Witcher 3 expansion Hearts of Stone, once again proving CD Projekt RED has a great sense of humor when it comes to punishment.
Back in June, the developer punished players who used a cow-killing exploit to earn loads of cash quick by siccing a massive troll on them after meditating. Well, the punishment for using the exploit isn't over.
The developer has gone one step further with its Hearts of Stone expansion by sending out a tax man to collect any ill-gotten earnings.
The fella's name is Walthemor Mitty (well done CDP), and in the expansion, the taxman will find the player out in the world to collect "undeclared income".
Here's what he has to say to the player:
"We've had reports, numerous, that over the last months you've come into a great deal of coin - quickly. So quickly it's raised suspicions. Make no mistake, you cannot evade this. You must answer my questions properly and in full. Have you ever at any time engaged in the wholesale trade of rawhide in the White Orchard area? During the current fiscal year, have you engaged in the acquisition of bivalves with the express intention of selling pearls therein?"
