The Witcher 3: Battle Preparations walkthrough
Here's how to complete the Battle Preparations quest in The Witcher 3.
The Battle Preparations quest has Geralt and friends assembling the resources they need for the final battle in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This is another one of those questlines that actually has you completing a handful of secondary quests to complete it, but don't worry, we've walked you through everything you need to do on this page.
So, if you need a helping hand with where to go next or which subquest to complete first, here's how to complete the Battle Preparations quest in The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3: Battle Preparations walkthrough
Head for your waypoint to meet Yennefer and the remaining members of the Lodge of Sorceresses in The Witcher 3.
When you’ve finished talking with Yen, you have a rare chance to chat with Rita and Philippa if you enter the cabin first, rather than going to the next waypoint immediately.
When you’re ready, approach Avallac’h and Yennefer and agree to set sail. After cutscenes and dialogues, you’ll be given two new quests to pursue: The Sunstone and Veni Vidi Vigo. Halfway through The Sunstone, you’ll also trigger Child of the Elder Blood.
All three of these secondary quests must be completed to end the Battle Preparations questline. You can do these quests in any order, but for simplicity's sake I suggest beginning with Veni Vidi Vigo.
Once that's done, complete The Sunstone. You'll unlock the Child of the Elder Blood part of the way through, and can complete this afterwards. Once all three quests are done, so is Battle Preparations.
After that, you'll want to complete Skjall's Grave or On Thin Ice.
