The next game from the developers of Sir, You Are Being Hunted has been announced.
Big Robot, developer of open-world stealth game Sir, You Are Being Hunted, has revealed its next project, The Signal From Tölva.
The Signal From Tölva is a first-person sci-fi exploration shooter in development for PC and Mac, due out in 2017. The game features an interesting sci-fi story that's set in the titular place, where ruins are all that's left of an ancient civilisation.
Robot factions scour this landscape in search of something, and so is the player. The Signal From Tölva allows for hacking and puzzle solving alongside exploration and open-world stealth.
In the trailer above, you can see how some Sir You Are Being Hunted mechanics have evolved into this sci-fi setting. The visuals and general design the robots and the world itself all look very clean and bright, though maybe it's a place that appears more inviting than it actually is.
Big Robot worked with artist Ian McQue to give the game its aesthetic. The Signal From Tölva is out sometime in 2017.
