The Realm - this lovely point & click adventure game needs your help on Kickstarter

The Realm, a project in the works at Atomhawk Design and Lantern Interactive, had landed on Kickstarter and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

It's a point and click adventure set in a future where the world has been reclaimed by nature and reflect the real-life landscapes and architecture of the North East of England.

Some humans remain in the game, but center themselves around small rural communities where the age of "magic and mysticism has returned," and rumors of strange things in the forest abound.

In The Realm, players will take on the role of a young girl named Sarina, who is on a quest to discover a cure for her sick mother. On her journey she befriends a giant stone golem named Toru, who is playable as well, and they will travel to a forgotten city to find a legendary flower with healing properties.

While in the city, "a long forgotten shadowy force that controls the Lampheads - mysterious plant-like creatures with a powerful and deadly gaze" - has awakened, and the duo must solve environment-based puzzle sin order to stay among the living and fulfill your quest.

Color us piqued. You can read more on the game and its stretch goals through the Kickstarter link and view the project video below.

The game is being designed so that it can be played "just as easily on touch screen devices as with a mouse."

So far, £20,993 has been pledged by 984 backers toward the £195,000 goal. There are 27 days left on the counter.

Thanks, TheWulf.
