The next Minecraft update will let you transfer worlds from Wii U to Switch
Soon, Minecraft players will be able to transfer their game worlds created on the Nintendo Wii U, to the Switch.
The feature has actually been in development for a while, initially meant to launch alongside the Switch version, but didn't end up making it.
In a recent livestream, developer Mojang demoed the transfer feature live, and confirmed that it's going to release alongside the next patch on both consoles (via Nintendo Everything).
You can see the feature in action in the video below:
The Switch version saw a resolution bump in a recent patch. The game now displays at 1080p when the console is docked. This upcoming update will greatly help those looking to make the jump from Wii U to Switch, now that all versions of the game, except PS4, will be cross-compatible.
