The new Assassin's Creed Origins trailer shows off the stabby beginnings of the whole saga
Assassin's Creed Origins is almost upon us, so as expected Ubisoft is dropping a whole mess of videos. Here's a new trailer!
Assassin's Creed Origins is, as the name suggests, an origin story. It follows Bayek, the last of the Medjay (which is, in this context, typically a term used to refer to the Ancient Egypt military, although Bayek seems to be in what is essentially a bodyguard role here). Bayek has a sworn duty to protect, which means that a lot of people have to die.
It's only been four days since the last trailer, but while that one was all in CGI, today's trailer is made from in-game footage. Mostly cutscenes, yes, but still.
We recently found out that Assassin's Creed Origins will also feature an educational mode, so you can run around Egypt learning about it without killing anyone, but this trailer reminds us that the word 'assassin' is in the title.
It all looks quite stirring from the trailer, with lots of people in masks and symbolically heavy deaths and close ups of eyes. Hopefully this iteration of Assassin's Creed will have interesting characters to go with all the stealthy stabbing action. Our own Matt Martin liked what he played back in August.
Assassin's Creed Origins will release on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on October 27.
