The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a Pro HUD mode for the purists among you
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild minimal HUD is for the pros.
In the run up to a recent Nintendo Switch event, YouTuber Gehab opened a Reddit Q&A for people to request what they'd like him to investigate while he was there.
One of the questions was about the game's HUD - which is fairly unobtrusive from what we've seen so far - and whether there would be any additional options available.
If you skip to around 2.30 in the video, Gehab gives us a peek at the settings menu and you can see that there are two HUD options to choose from; there's the standard Normal and a Pro mode.
Pro mode appears to disable all aspects of the Normal HUD with the exception of the life gauge that you can still see in the top left corner of the screen in the footage.
There may be additional settings at launch, but for now it's good to know that those of you who want to delve in without a helping hand can appreciate the game in all its glory without a mini map and whatnot cluttering up the screen.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out on March 3 worldwide for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
