Sony isn't offering PS3 users an upgrade discount for The Last of Us Remastered

Those who plan on purchasing The Last of Us Remastered for PlayStation 4 will not receive an upgrade discount if they already own The Last of Us on PS3.

This is according to SCE's Fred Dutton responding to a question on the matter via the PS Blog, via Eurogamer.

"Alas, there is no upgrade discount," he stated.

The Last of Us Remastered will run folks anywhere from £40 in the UK to £30. The average price in the US is $49.99, but a quick search on the game provided a price as low as $49.96. Surely there are better deals out there if you look.

Sony also released a new set of screenshots for the title, in all of its remastered glory. Those are below.

The Last of Us on PlayStation 4 runs at 60FPS and 1080p in single-player and multiplayer modes, but players will be able to lock the frame-rate to 30 frames-per-second if they like.

It's out on July 30.
