The Last of Us PAX Panel touches upon alternate endings, scrapped ideas, mo-cap sessions

The Last of Us was the subject of a panel during PAX yesterday, where game director Bruce Straley and creative director Neil Druckmann discussed Naughty Dog's original pitch, and early look at the story, and possible alternate endings.

I won't mention possible spoilers for those who have yet to finish or play the game, sort of like one of the links up top did regarding Tess, but Polygon has the details on the alternate endings.

Naughty Dog also played a video of a motion capture session featuring actors Troy Baker (Joel) and Merle Dandridge (Marlene), discussed how one of the original ideas had Ellie's dog tagging along, and another scrapped idea of a musical ending. I'm leaning toward the latter being a bit of joke from Naughty Dog - Polygon doesn't say, though.

Again, if you want to read the entire thing, hit up the link. I'm just now 3/4 of the way through the game, and it's already spoiled for me due to my job description, but I don't want to do it to anyone else.
