New The Last of Us: Part 2 footage was shown during the GameStop managers conference

Lucky folks attending the GameStop managers conference in Nashville were given a look at new The Last of Us: Part 2 footage.

According to information out of the conference, this new gameplay for The Last of Us: Part 2 will be revealed to everyone else "soon."

The gameplay footage showed how you will be able to use the infected (clickers) "to your advantage," along wih the use of stealth, and a rather dark scene illuminated only with fire and flashlights.

Being able to see this for ourselves "soon" is rather refreshing, since Sony and Naughty Dog have been rather quiet regarding the title.

It's possible the gameplay demo will air during Paris Games Week in October. DualShockers notes it could happen as early as next month on Outbreak Day which is September 26. That would be fitting.

Sony skipped E3 2019 this year, opting instead to share news with fans via State of Play streams. There hasn't been one in a while, so it's possible Sony is saving the footage for an upcoming State of Play episode.

The Last of Us: Part 2 is currently without a release date, but rumors point to a February 2020 release.
