The Last Federation video shows an hour of tactical space battle gameplay

The Last Federation developer Arcen Games has published a new alpha gameplay video with commentary from studio founder Christopher Park. It shows how the game's tactical space battles play out, and many of the features alpha testers are currently enjoying.

Park has also posted a selection of alpha screens over on his personal blog. They show how players can access the black market to bolster their ship, and the method captains will employ to capture new technology.

The Arcen Games site has a list of game features, explaining that combat is mixed with both action strategy and text-based strategic elements, playing out across eight factions within a vast universe.

The Last Federation will hit Steam in April. We'll have more on it then.
