The Game Awards have officially wrapped, and there was plenty of big news at tonight's awards show, including the reveal of Soulcalibur VI, Bayonetta 3, and From Software's new project, as well as the surprise release of Breath of the Wild's new DLC.

Because there's quite a bit of news, we've rounded up all the big announcements for your convenience. Make sure to check out all the new trailers and, of course, the actual awards as well!

World War Z

The Game Awards kicked off with an announcement trailer for World War Z from Saber Interactive, the developers of Inversion, Timeshift, and Quake Champions. As you might expect, there will be lots of zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. Maybe it will even be based on the book instead of the movie! But probably not. It will be out on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.

Vacation Simulator and Accounting VR

The VR train continues with Vacation Simulator, a new game from the creators of Job Simulator. Like Job Simulator, it will be a multi-platform VR game in which you perform seemingly menial tasks. It has... a distinct sense of humor. It will be out for all of the major VR platforms. Accounting VR+ was also announced for PlayStation VR on December 19.

New Project From Software Project

A new trailer teased From Software's upcoming project, which is seemingly a brand new game. It's a roughly 10 second video featuring what looks like a bloody skeleton hand reaching for... something? The tagline is Shadows Die Twice. It's all we get, folks. Sorry.

In the Valley of the Gods

The new game from the creators of Firewatch was revealed tonight. It looks to be a game set in Egypt wherein you explore pyramids and other ancient tombs. From the looks of it, you will have the help of an unnamed partner, who helps you setup your equipment and saves you from steep drops. It will be out 2019.

Fortnite 50 vs. 50 Mode

Fortnite Battle Royale revealed a brand new 50 versus 50 mode featuring all of the usual fort-building craziness. It will be a limited time event running through December 17, and it looks pretty neat. Fortnite is also doing pretty well for itself, with 1.3 million concurrent players and 30 million downloads since launch. Wow. You can play it on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for free.

Breath of the Wild Champions' Ballad DLC Out Tonight

A trailer for The Champions' Ballad officially revealed the release date for Breath of the Wild's story-driven DLC, and it's tonight. The trailer features all four champions doing what they do: being cool. It takes place before Link's slumber 100 years in the past. The trailer also revealed new dungeons, costumes, and yes, horse armor. And a motorcycle called the Master Cycle Zero, believe it or not. You can download it on the Nintendo Switch via the DLC Season Pass.

Soulcalibur Returns!

After a six year hiatus, Bandai Namco finally announced the return of Soulcalibur. We get a look at Sophitia and a clean-shaven Mitsurugi battling on a familiar-looking stage (of history). It looks like it will please fans of this classic series. A more complete reveal should be coming in a few days.

Fade to Silence

THQ Nordic officially showed their new game, which was leaked earlier today. It's a winter survival game where you're battling both the weather and the forces of the undead (or so it seems). There's totally dogsledding, which is kind of neat. Early Access kicks off on December 14. It will be on all of the "next-gen consoles" when it officially launches next week.

Bayonetta 1 and 2 on Nintendo Switch. And Bayonetta 3, too!

Nintendo revealed that Bayonetta is officially getting a sequel. We don't get much more than an icon, but it's enough. Bayonetta 3 is a thing, and it will be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo also confirmed that both Bayonetta 1 and 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch next year. They will be available together in one package. We really loved Bayonetta 2 when it first came out on the Wii U. It'll be totally amazing as a portable game. And it will have same space co-op, too. It'll be out February 16.

New (And Weird) Death Stranding Trailer

Hideo Kojima returned to show a new trailer for Death Stranding, the game he and his studio are developing for the PlayStation 4. You should probably see the trailer for yourself, because it's not the easiest thing in the world to describe, save for the fact that it's very much a sci-fi horror game. Suffice it to say, a baby giving a thumbs-up from inside a guy's throat is the kind of enduringly weird image that feels appropriate for 2017. Still no release date for this one.

Witchfire

The developers of Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Painkiller, and Bulletstorm are all coming together to create a new shooter called Witchfire. It is a "dark fantasy FPS" being developed by a team of eight from The Astronauts. It's been confirmed for PC. No release date yet.

The PUBG Desert Map Reveal and 1.0 Release Date

Playerunknown's Battlegrounds' highly-anticipated new map was briefly shown tonight. It's more PUBG... but in the desert! More importantly, the map titled Miramar goes live tonight on PTR at midnight PT, so you can try it for yourself. The final 1.0 release will be 12/20. The Xbox One preview begins on 12/12.

GTFO

A new four-player shooter called GTFO is coming from After Impact, the creators of Payday. It looks like a sci-fi horror game where you fight various monsters. It will demand teamwork as well as puzzle solving, suggesting that it's more than just action. Expect to see it in 2018.
