The first Biomutant gameplay trailer is all kinds of wacky, up to and including actual finger guns
Whatever game Biomutant ends up being, its first gameplay trailer sure is a treat.
After THQ Nordic officially unveiled the open-world action RPG earlier today, the first gameplay trailer made its way online just now.
The trailer (via Worthplayingvideos) is pretty amazing, showing different environments and the various ways of traversing them. But the characters and the machines shown here are absolutely perfect, unlike your typical NPCs in other games.
Though we're not sure how, you apparently build a mechanical hand at one point. This is an actual - let's call it a mech - that our hero pilots. This machine is shown flinging enemies around (presumably its melee attack) and turning into the shape of a gun to shoot them.
It's all very unique. The protagonist is certainly not the weirdest thing about the game's world, now that we've seen a few other faces.
Biomutant is being developed by Experiment 101, a studio made up of former Avalanche staff. It's due for release in 2018 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
