The Elder Scrolls 6 isn't in development yet, so stop asking about it
Pete Hines repeats the same thing when asked the same question for the umpteenth time.
Bethesda's E3 conference took place yesterday and the internet was not impressed.
Nestled amongst the news of Skyrim VR, and Skyrim on Switch, there was no sign of The Elder Scrolls 6, but as disappointed as you might be, it's not really a surprise.
Last year, Todd Howard confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 was "a very long way off," with two other projects in the works that would be revealed first.
In an interview with Geoff Keighley after the show, VP of PR/marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hines, was asked about the game and reiterated that there are two major projects being worked on before The Elder Scrolls 6.
"I tried to manage expectations for folks...but [Bethesda has] major things that they're working on in addition to a lot of other stuff," he explains.
"They're hard at work, they have a lot going on," he says. Once those two projects are at a stage where they can be talked about, "then we'll get to TES 6."
Hines clarifies that TES 6 isn't in development yet, saying, "TES 6 is not in dev." The two projects taking priority are described as "big multiplatform releases."
So the message we should take away from all of this is to leave the poor man alone.
TES 6 isn't in development and he'll let us know when to get riled up about it.
